Felix Verdejo’s first world title shot is postponed

Puerto Rican Olympian Felix Verdejo’s first world title shot was supposed to take place on September 16, 2017 at Cooper Box Arena in London against WBO title holder Terry Flanagan. That fight is on the same card with Billy Joe Saunders defending his WBO middleweight title vs Willie Monroe Jr.
Unfortunately, Verdejo’s first title shot is postponed due to Terry Flanagan’s leg injury. I know Team Verdejo and Top Rank is disappointed after it. Also fans are disappointed as well.
Before there scheduled bout Terry defended the WBO title five times successfully and Verdejo won a unanimous decision against Oliver Flores. Top Rank and Frank Warren (Flanagan’s promoter) will eventually reschedule the fight.
