Garcia Defeats Easter

Los Angeles, CA- Over twelve thousand spectators at the famous Staple Center witnessed Mickey Garcia unified belts when he defeated Robert Eastern Jr by unimonuse decision. Garcia when back to 135 pounds to unified belts. Garcia and Eastern where the main event of the night.
The first round was just studied round as both Eastern and Garcia barely threw any punches. The sizes different from both fighters was evident as the much taller and bigger Eastern was trying to keep his distance with his jab. Garcia skills and experience allowed him to implement his game plan. Gracia kept pressing the action and was able to start landing solid shots. In the third round, Garcia was able to land a right hand and left hook that put Easter down the canvas. That was only the second time that eastern has hit the canvas in his career. Eastern was able to beat the count and survive the round. Garcia was forcing Eastern to fight off his back foot. Garcia began to take control as Eastern did not have an answer to Mikey’s gameplan and skills. Eastern was game, but he never was able to let his hand go. Garcia started to dominate as the crowd chanted his name. The fight went to the scorecard as the judges scored it 116-111, 117-110 and 118-109 all for the Garcia. At the end of the fight, Garcia said he is willing to go up to 147 and fight the best
“I’m here for the biggest challenges,”
“I don’t know if there is anyone that is a bigger challenge than Errol Spence. I know he’s up to fight everyone so let’s make it happen. I think it can be made. I think that’s the next big fight coming up.

However, the question is if Garcia ready to fight against the Spence? Only time will tell.
