Miguel Cotto Shines In Carson

Carson, Ca –Miguel Cotto defeated Yoshihiro Kamegai this past Saturday at a sold-out StubHub Arena in Carson California. Cotto landed at will, but Kamegai never gave up and pressure Cotto till the last round. Cotto landed heavy punches but was never able to hurt Kamegai. The fans love the action pack fight and could not believe the heart of Kamegai. All judges gave Cotto the nod and became the New WBO junior middleweight Champion. Cotto wants a to fight one more time before hanging up the gloves.
“Come December 31st; I will retire,” Cotto said. “I’ve done it all. I’m 36 going on 27, and I think I’ve come to the end of my career. I will fight once more in December.”
Cotto trainer Freddie Roach told the StubHub that he would like for Cotto to fight the winner of the Canelo vs. GGG fight. December is the targeted date for Miguel Cotto final fight.
