The last few weeks in Furgeson has been filled with hatred, turmoil, and grief. It started with an officer killing a youth by the name of Mike Brown. Most people in the city of Furgeson felt that the shooting was unjust and there has been rally's and protesting involved. The small town is at an unrest. There are those that took things into their own hands and started looting and setting fires to the stores and their community. School time is just around the corner. Kids need to get their education and with that, their school supplies.
Abner Mares knew he needed to do something. He got his team together and they went to Furgeson to do something, anything. He knew they needed hope. He knew they needed school supplies and books. He did just that. He was welcomed with open arms and the kids had a glimmer of hope that someone that is not from their town cares. Abner said, "It was with in pleasure and honor to have presented And helped Furgeson Elementary with school supply's and books." Abner knows what it needs to be a kid in need. Hopefully this will inspire those kids to achieve goals they never thought possible. More importantly it will teach them that when your in a position to help others, do so. Great Job Abner.
