Abner Mares injured rematch to be pushed back to March 15th?

Abner Mares injured

Breaking news here:

Boxer Abner Mares was injured during training. Mares injured his rib while he was training in Mexico City, Mexico. So the rematch to his fight against Jhonny Gonzalez is pushed to March 15th.

I was looking forward to covering and attending the rematch on February 15, 2014 at Staples Center. Unfortunately, that will not happen. Things happen in boxing. For example, I remember when Danny Garcia was suppose to fight Zab Judah on February 9, 2013 for the WBA, WBC and Ring titles (Super lightweight titles) Garcia injured himself during sparring. So his bout was rescheduled to April 27, 2013.

Anyway, good thing is Abner Mares will recover from the rib injury, and he, as well as Jhonny will have extra time to train. Also both fighters will have more time to study each other as well as study the positives as well as the negatives during there first bout that took place on August 24, 2013 at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California. Jhonny Gonzalez won by a KO in round 1 to give Abner Mares his first defeat as a professional fighter.

Still looking forward to cover and attending the fight on March 15, 2014.
