Adrien Broner to Face the Winner of Lamont Peterson vs Dierry Jean in 2014?

Why not? It makes since. They are 140lb fighters. Adrien Broners trainer said he might go to 140lbs for next fight. Now we have to look at the 140lb champions. Number 1, let's scratch off Ruslan Provodnikov because he is a Toprank Fighter. The only two choices left is WBC-WBA Champion Danny Garcia. Adrien said before he would not fight him because they are friends. That only leaves one fighter left. That will be the winner of Lamont Peterson vs Dierry Jean. Whoever is victorious will be the IBF Champion.

To me this will be the most logical move at 140lbs. At that weight, I believe Adrien Broner could beat either guy. Also at 140 he could face Zab Judah, Humberto Soto, Ajose Olusegun, and others. The only one he would have to watch out for is Lucas Matthysse. Besides that, I can see Adrien winning the belt and then growing into 147lbs. Let's wait and see, I know Broner is anxious about getting a World Title as soon as possible.

Shawn,

I agree with your assessment concerning AB going down to 140. I think its a better fit for him, those "animals" at 147 are too big for him. I think his management team should bring him along slowly. He needs better foot/head movement in order not to become a stationary punching like unlike his last bout with Chino.
