Adrien Broner already said he wants a rematch with Marcos Maidana. Floyd Mayweather came out with an interview stated to not fight Marcos Maidana next but to fight on Floyd's undercard on May 3rd. Floyd Mayweather will most likely fight Amir Khan for 2 Reasons. Number 1 is because Broner wants to avenge his loss. Number 2, how would it look with Adrien fighting on your "undercard" and you beat the man who beat Adrien? The fans will pit Floyd vs Adrien in a heartbeat. All Broner would hear is, See Floyd showed you how to do it. You got the game plan now? Now you can fight Marcos Maidana again and just do what Floyd did and you'll win.
Can you see how much controversy that will cause? It doesn't make sense. If Adrien wants to fight Maidana in the rematch, then allow him. Floyd Mayweather will make more money fighting Amir Khan anyway. He's the bigger draw even though he has more losses. In an article we wrote earlier this week, Amir has already signed his part of the contract. He is just waiting on Floyd to sign his end of the deal. Maidana in the mean time says he has no time to be wasting begging Floyd to fight him.
