We know that Amir Khan has been lobbying to face Floyd Mayweather for awhile now. Most people feel that it's only for the money. It's hard to sell a fight like Amir Khan because first of all he has never fought at the welterweight level yet. At-least not the full 147lbs that is. Then two, he has knockout losses at 140lbs and those are smaller guys. To his credit though, Floyd is not a big welterweight. Floyd's experience by itself would beat Amir Khan. I don't see that fight happening anytime soon.
What could be a possibility is Amir Khan vs Manny Pacquiao. These guys have sparred each other in the past and Amir has told the public that at times he's gotten the best of Manny. They were at one time stable mates but Amir has moved on and there is a bad taste still left in Freddie Roach's mouth. I'm sure Freddie would entertain that match up. Manny is not a big welterweight either. Speed vs Speed. We would just have to see what the future holds. Of course there is always the Promoters and Networks.
Between the two fighters, I see Amir getting a Pacquiao fight before a Floyd fight.
