Andre Ward Knocking Out Dawson Has Boosted his Confidence

By Shawn Craddick

There was a time that Andre Ward let his fist do the talking in the ring. We saw Andre Ward pick apart Chad Dawson last year and it was a brilliant performance. It puts you in mind of when Floyd Mayweather fought against Diego Corrales. Brilliance at it's best. Andre Ward has earned the spot for the number 2 P4P list on most website's list. However, Andre Ward just recently had shoulder surgery which will keep him out of the spotlight for atleast 6 months. Were pretty sure he can get back to where he needs to be.

This brings us to our next important discussion. Andre has been upset at Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler lately for taking shots at him in the public. Andre has already beaten these guys but for some reason he allowed them to get under his skin. As a matter of fact they have him acting out of character. Recently this week he did an interview where he stated that next time he will knock both of them out. This is strange to hear him say this. Like we said before, Andre is "usually" a humble man that let's his skills do the talking in the ring but I guess everyone has a point to where the temptation to perform and show out get's the best of us.

Well I guess we will have to see what happens next. First thing is he still has to heal from his surgery and most likely await the winner of Froch vs Kessler. He's pretty much cleaned out the division and most fans think it's time to move to Light Heavyweight and do the same. I don't think Ward is just quite ready for that jump yet. He has plenty of options at 175lbs but let's wait and see what happens next.

I think i'd be a bit pissed if someone that didn't win a round against me kept saying that he lost a "close" verdict. Froch somehow thinks he'll beat Andre next time, just like he beat Andre D i suppose.
