Why all the hoopla with the rush to have Andre Ward move up to Light Heavyweight. He still has to finish cleaning out the Super Middleweight Division. Back in 2009 everyone thought his toughest test would be against Edison Miranda, but he easily beat him over 12 rounds. Then the WBA Title shot against Mikkel Kessler in which Andre won a Technical Decision and grabbed the belt. Then Allan Green, Sakio Bika, Arthur Abraham in what many thought could catch Andre with his powerful shots but Andre kept him at bay all night long. Then the finals with Carl Froch for the WBC and WBA belts. Andre looked invincible as he defeated Carl Froch.
Then here comes Light Heavyweight down to Super Middleweight Chad Dawson. Andre did the what most thought would be the impossible and knocked him out. Now all the Light Heavyweights and want Andre Ward to move up, but what for? He still has work to do at Super Middleweight.
Take a look at the legitimate 168 pounders:
1. George Groves 19-0, 15 KO's
2. Robert Stieglitz 45-3, 26 KO's - WBO Champion
3. Edwin Rodriguez 24-0, 16 KO's
4. Andre Dirrell 21-1, 14 KO's - Most people thought he beat Carl Froch
WBC Champion - Sakio Bika has been beaten by Ward
IBF Champion - Carl Froch has been beaten by Ward
Andre Still has alot of house cleaning to do ... at 168lbs.
