Are critics too hard on Chavez Jr.

By Kevin Davis

Everyone I know around the globe just don't like Julio Chavez Jr. from inbox to inbox, they think he is a rich spoiled, overgrown baby, who's living off his father's name. Fight after fight, controversy after controversy, Chavez jr. has himself destroyed the support structure Top Rank has built up for him, just by being lazy. Growing up rich, can have it's benefits, but in a sport where most fighters don't start off rich, many feel he just lacks the hunger to be great and I couldn't agree with them more.

Chavez Jr. is at the crossroads and he has no more passes, because the fans are tired of investing time into a kid pretending to be a fighter, at some point you have to step up and be a man and take responsibility for you're actions and make changes to prove to the world that we have judged you unfairly. Until that day appears to me, you are not a fighter.
