Bradley fighting on March 16

By:Chris DeGuia February 2, 2013

According to Boxing Scene, ESPN's Boxing and SI, boxer Timothy Bradley Jr,(29-0, 12 KO's) will be defending his WBO welterweight title against Ruslan Provodnikov (22-1, 15 KO's) on March 16, 2013. The venue for that fight will be at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

Timothy Bradley last fought on June 9, 2012 and won a controversial split decision against Manny Pacquiao. A lot of people, media and fans thought that Pacquiao won against Bradley including me. Bradley reject a rematch against Lamont Peterson that would of took place on December last year. Since then Bradley has been inactive.

Bradley's opponent Ruslan Provodnikov last fought against Jose Reynoso back on June 29, 2012. He won by a KO in round 2. Provodnikov's only loss came against Mauricio Herrera back in January 7, 2011. Since his loss against Herrera Provodnikov has been on a five fighting winning streak. Four of those fights have been in the welterweight division.

According to Steve Kim from Maxboxing.com on his twitter, both Bradley and Provodnikov will sign up for VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association). Both fighters will submit to random drug testing leading up to the fight. As for right now only boxer Nonito Donaire is signed up for VADA doing random drug testing 24/7, 365 days a week.

HBO will televise the fight
