Bryan Vera Looking to beat Chavez Jr in Rematch, Then a Title Shot

By Shawn Craddick

The first Bryan Vera vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr was filled with controversy. First there was the 3 different weight adjustments. It started with 163lbs, then it jumped to 168lbs, then finally it stopped at 173lbs. Vera agreed along with a nice cut of Chavez purse going to him. In that fight we saw Vera beat Chavez Jr atleast 8 rounds out of 12. In the end, the judges saw it in favor of Chavez Jr which was met by a chorus of boos. That eventually got the fans so railed up that they demanded a rematch.

We reached out to Bryan Vera to see what he thought about the rematch and his 2014. Bryan Vera stated, "Just excited about getting 2014 going with a big win against Chavez Jr, then on to a title shot before the years over". The rematch is looking so far to take place March 1st and the fore front is looking like taking place in Dallas, TX. Stay tuned.
