Canelo Alvarez fighting Austin Trout

On May 4, 2013 Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is going to fight Austin "No Doubt" Trout on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr and his opponent TBD. The fight will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Saul Alvarez (41-0-1, 30 KOS) defeated Shane Mosley and Josesito Lopez. While Austin Trout (26-0, 14 KOS) defeated Miguel Cotto on December 1, 2012 at Madision Square Garden. Cotto has never lost at MSG until Trout defeated him by a UD to retain his interim WBA Light Middleweight title. Almost everyone including me thought that Trout will lose against Cotto but Trout prove everyone wrong. With the Cotto victory Trout called Canelo out who was at ringside at MSG for the fight. Also with the victory this opens the doors for Trout. Even Canelo thought that Cotto was going to win against Trout but that was not the case. So now, it is time for Canelo to fight someone in there prime, someone in his weight class and not someone past there prime or coming up to make 154 lbs. To me, Canelo has not been tested yet because he has been fighting fighters who are either past there prime or coming up in weight. This will be a big test for both fighters because whoever wins this, will have more doors wide open for them and lead to a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight later on this year.
