Carl Froch Goes Head to Head with Floyd Mayweather - Not Intimidated

Carl Froch is looking for a suitable opponent for his return. What makes this more interesting is that he picked the same date as Floyd Mayweather's May 5th date in which he will be facing Miguel Cotto. Carl Froch is a Showtime fighter and Floyd Mayweather is a HBO fighter. Will Showtime be damaging their Air Date by going head to head with HBO and Mayweather. That is a losing battle all day long. Recently this is what Carl Froch had to say.
“We’re looking at May 5th at the Nottingham Arena,” Froch said. “I was all set for taking on [Lucian] Bute in Canada, but as everyone heard Showtime were looking at an American opponent for Bute’s next fight.
“I don’t want a gimme at this stage of may career, even though I’ve earned one. I don’t want some bum who nobody has heard of. My fans don’t deserve a patsy and I won’t fight one. They’re going to be top names and/or with a top ranking at 168-pounds. [Kelly] Pavlik’s name was kicked about. But it’s possibly [going to be] Librado Andrade or the WBC number three; a lad called Noe Gonzalez.”
Surely, he does deserve to take a easy fight but he takes no shortcuts. Showtime, wise up and please move your date. Your in an uphill battle and it's a losing one.

I dont think this one fight will affect him being known, besides the time does not really matter im sure showtime will re run in later on the night for US people.

Bigdogg 1. I'm in the UK 2. British fans often complain about the time of the fights in Vegas 3. Less will watch the fight in the US during the daytime, other than boxers/boxing fans like myself, if you want people to know who Froch is, a great deal of the fanbase is in the US 4. Yes, showtime could be damaging their date 5. Froch is pretty good, could be better 6. Pavlik fighting on Froch's level after his drinking issues lately? #1 again maybe someday 7. you Americans? 8.....

what have you accomplish in life ? and no one asked you or told you to watch the fight so why bother and for record i know you dont have money to buy ppv even manny fight you stream them online. You are just big mouth but nothing other!

Noone will watch showtime at 2 in the afternoon on a saturday in the usa, make the showtime fight another weekend

its different time zone so not really head to head, Mayweather fighter would be about 7 to 8 hours later after the showtime fight and why not? We get 2 fights in one day

SHOWTIME IS NOT STUPID! AT LEAST I HOPE NOT! I DOUBT THEY'LL TRY TO AIR A FIGHT WHEN FLOYD IS FIGHTING. AT LEAST NOT WITH CARL FROCH. I'LL ORDER FLOYD & COTTO 3 TIMES BEFORE I WATCH A FROCH FIGHT FOR FREE!
