Devon Alexander bout postponed

February 4, 2013 by Chris DeGuia

According to Fighthype, Lem Satterfield and other media outlets, Devon Alexander(24-1, 13Ko's)-Kell Brook(29-0, 19Ko's) bout is postponed. The reason behind that is Devon IBF Welterweight champion injured one of his biceps while training. With one of his biceps injured it will take three weeks for it to fully heal. I was looking forward to seeing Alexander defending his title that he won by defeating Randall Bailey back in October 20, 2012 of last year.

Now, the fight is postponed,it will be rescheduled and site of the fight will be to be determined. For the undercards they will still go one as planned but without the Alexander-Brook fight. I'm disappointed, but things happened in this world. Fighters push themselves by overtraining and overworking out. Then all of a sudden the(fighter/s) gets injured or hurt while training or working out. For example boxer Danny Garcia, he injured his rib while sparring for his fight against Zab Judah that was supposed to take place on February 9, 2013. Now with Garcia injured the fight as well as the undercards for that fight will take place on April 27, 2013 in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
