Pro Box North East, in association with Maloney Promotions, would like to invite all media to attend a press conference ahead of the ‘Supremacy’ professional boxing show, which takes place on Friday February 15 at the Rainton Meadows Arena (Houghton Le Spring, DH4 5PH).
The press conference will take place at 2.30pm on Thursday 31st January at the Rainton Meadows Arena and in attendance will be all boxers appearing on the forthcoming bill.
‘Supremacy’, which will be televised live on Loaded TV Sky Channel 200, is headlined by Birtley’s British cruiserweight champion Jon-Lewis Dickinson who will face the challenge of Sunderland’s David Dolan. Chief support will feature Scottish heavyweight prospect Gary ‘The Highlander’ Cornish.
Also appearing on the quality undercard will be Scarborough’s unbeaten cruiserweight Danny Price; Hartlepool’s rising star Peter Cope, who takes on South Shields’ David ‘Dynamite’ Lake; Gateshead’s Craig Dixon; Fishburn’s Northern Area champ Gary Fox; Easington’s Paul Archer, and Middlesbrough’s Francis Croes will do battle with another South Shields’ fighter, Anthony ‘Babyface’ Nelson. Debutant Ben Jackson will also appear.
“This is a great show for the North East and the interest has been unbelievable. I’m absolutely delighted that Loaded TV are bringing their cameras up to film the card and I can guarantee they won’t be disappointed,” stated co-promoter Phil Jeffries.
“Dickinson against Dolan is not only a British title fight, it’s also a Tyne and Wear derby fight and neither man will want to lose out on North East bragging rights. The last time these two fought it was a very close affair which Jon won, but Dolan knows this is his last chance and he’ll be giving it everything to win that belt.
“I’m genuinely excited by the rest of the undercard too. Gary Cornish is making a real name for himself as a man who can do something in the heavyweight division, and we have some real talent from the region on the show, including a couple of all-Northeast battles which will be exciting. We’re aiming for every bout on this card to be a 50-50 fight and I believe this show will be one of the best the region has had for years.”
At the press conference there will be time for one-on-one questions with all fighters, as well as photo opprtunities.
