Efrain Esquivias Jr. showed very little intimidation, if there any on his part, he march into this fight against a legend in Rafael Marquez and wore down the 38 year old. From the opening bell Esquivias held his ground, wouldn't let Marquez lead in the fight, Marquez did have his moments of countering early o n, but once Efrain caught his rhythm the fight was his and he never let it go.
After being dealt a raw deal in boxing fights before, Efrain knew he was up in the fight but didn't rely on that notion and went for the knockout. It was a lead right hand that ended the fight and maybe the career of Rafael Marquez, As for Esquivias Jr. this is just the beginning. A major title shot at the dangerous Leo Santa Cruz will be fireworks.
