Floyd Mayweather Pulls Out Very Close Fight, Wins Majority Decision

Floyd Mayweather was possibly in the most difficult fight of his life. Marcos Maidana came to win. He gave it his all. There were some close rounds and even the punch stat was very close. However the judges saw it 114-114, 116-112, and 117-111. Floyd Mayweather by Majority Decision.

Maidana came out and tried the same technique that worked on Adrien Broner. Looping overhand rights. Floyd's defensive skills is what helped him win the fight. He slipped alot of those punches or didn't get hit cleanly by them. Floyd would pot shot at times, slip at times, and when Chino was tired Floyd went on the attack. I believe alot of this came down to Floyd's endurance and defensive skills. Floyd is now unified WBC/WBA champion at both welterweight and super welterweight.

Maidana wants the rematch, and Floyd said if the fans really want it, they can do it again. We will see, but I don't think Floyd wants to fight him again. At the end Robert Garcia said, "let's do it, but can we use our gloves this time". That was a classic line for the ages.
