The undefeated welterweight took to Twitter and posted a picture of him hanging out at George's bedside in Las Vegas:
"Appreciate the champ @floydmayweather visiting me in the hospital," George wrote on his Instagram page with a post of the same photo. "Gave me some great advice and kept my spirits high!! Appreciate you once again big bro! #TBE #TMT."
George, 24, suffered a compound fracture of the the tibia and fibula bones in his right leg during the fourth quarter of Team USA's blue-white scrimmage, per Candace Buckner of The Indianapolis Star. Going up in an attempt to challenge a James Harden layup, George's leg was caught on the stanchion and his momentum carried him in the opposite direction, snapping the bone through his skin.
Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski canceled the game after a lengthy delay as the training staff attended to George. The white team was leading 81-71 at the time of his injury, which took place with 9:33 remaining in the fourth quarter.
