Some close sources are speculating that Floyd Mayweather "threw" Devon Alexander's name out there because Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero was "overpricing" himself. Apparently the same $2.5 Million that Devon is "supposedly" going to receive is what they were offering Robert but he was not accepting peanuts to face the best boxer in the world. Since Robert would not budge, Floyd gave the same offer to IBF Champion Devon Alexander in hope's that Robert would come "begging" back to accept the $2.5 Million.
Nobody wants to see Floyd vs Devon and Social Media has been giving it to Floyd and Devon hard. I have yet to find one fan happy about these two fighting. One of the things I do find interesting is that Floyd wants to fight a "Southpaw" and most people think this is because he possible still might want to fight Pacquiao in the fall. Even though they will not generate the $100 Million offer they once had, it will still generate the biggest payday for both. What are your thoughts?
