Francois Botha Claims Fight Fixing, Then He Mysteriously Fails Steroid Test

By Shawn Craddick

We have all been hearing about Francois Botha claiming to fight fixing. He was involved in a bout last week against Sony Bill Williams. It was "supposed" to be scheduled for a 12 rounder but was cut short to 10 rounds after Botha had him almost knocked out in the 10th round. All of a sudden the match is over, no 12 rounds. Williams escapes with a win. Botha and his manager were on a rampage claiming fight fixing and rules were changed. Next thing we know, there is another accusation.

Out of nowhere drug testing came back that Francois Botha drug test came back positive for for a banned stimulant phentermine. Now Botha is furious as he lays claim he was not doping. He feels this is a way to get back at him and his manager for screaming foul. He claims the person that did the drug testing is a friend of his opponents team. What do you make of this fight fans? Do you feel Botha was doping or that this is a setup? Leave your comment below.
