Golovkin looking towards an even bigger 2014

By Kevin Davis

Gennady Golovkin, had a great year in 2013, pleasing crowds and especially HBO, with him dominating opponents in the ring, and his trainer Abel Sanchez telling us stories of how many people were broken up in training camps with the man they call Triple G. It was a wonderful year. With very few fighters at middleweight that are willing to face him, the clock is ticking on how long before this boxing superstar takes his game to another level.

There plan is to fight another 3 or 4 times in 2014, they want the winner between Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez, then later on this year maybe a shot at Andre Ward at 168. Golovkin understands the business of boxing and knows that a fight like that may and could become a PPV event, so he understands that it is too soon to challenge Ward now.
