HBO and Showtime boxing program numbers from Saturday night

By Kevin Davis

Boxing matches should never be determined by numbers but the boxing game has changed due to social media, and everyday i have to answer the questions like, 'He shouldn't get a shot because he only getting paid this much.' The fans are all involved in what a fighter makes, to determine who he should fight, nothing based on merit.

HBO boxing and Showtime Boxing went head to head with their scheduling conflict but it wasn't because the companies are at odds, most of there shows will collide at some point, that's just a fact, but the fans are so caught up into who had the bigger numbers, and who's winning and losing. Nevertheless here are the numbers from Saturday nights boxing shows.

1. Kirkland-Tapia, HBO, 718,000
2. Zab Judah-Paulie Malignaggi, Showtime, 640,000
3. Rigondeaux-Agbeko, HBO, 550,000
