Hitz Boxiing presented a night of future world stars at the Cicero Stadium, starting the night off, was Fidel Navarrete from Michoacan mexico, improves on his undefeated record as he took the fight to Brian Strickland, who couldn't take the physical abuse and was knocked out in the first round.
The next fighter brought his own cheering section as Roy Navarro and William Bokhart, squared off in the ring and it was clear that Roy's body attack was too much for Bokhart who showed grit. After the first knockdown he got up and continued to press on, landing a couple good shot before another body shot ended the night for Bokhart and Navarro improves to 3-0.
In a interesting fight between Antonio "Aztec God of War" Canas, from Chicago and Greg Coverson Jr. you saw a clash of two different styles. Canas came right in trying to wear down Coverson with his body attack, and relentless pressure, but Coverson was seasoned and didn't panic. He took the storm and came back with conter shots as Canas was fighting to find a rhythm vs a fighter who switch from southpaw and orthodox all night long. Slick and cagey throughout the contest, Canas kept coming with power, in the end Carnas won a unanimous decision after six rounds of action, but Coverson in my eyes won more round than he got credit for. Great fight.
