Oscar De La Hoya can easily make the Victor Ortiz vs Amir Khan fight. He would be taking a page right out of Bob Arum's book. They are both promoted by Oscar. With Amir Khan basically giving up on the Lamont Peterson rematch and Victor Oritz now left in limbo over Andre Berto's injury, both of these fighters need an opponent. Both of these guys can make atleast $1 million each. With that being said, all Oscar needs to do is figure out how to maximize the profits.
That is why Oscar has Richard Schafer. The Banker himself knows how to crunch them numbers. Right now Amir Khan has a bad taste in his mouth fighting over here in the USA with what he calls a controversial loss. Amir lost his belts to Lamont Peterson in his hometown of Washington, DC. You don't think Obama has anything to do with it do you? Everybody else blames the President for everything that is going wrong in America. I'm sure Amir Khan would like to have the fight overseas but he isn't exactly in good graces with Skysports right now.
Victor Ortiz would of course like to have the fight stateside. Since Victor is of Mexican heritage, he can have the fight at Dallas Stadium. He might have a good draw there. Then you can always go to LA, where their is mexican pride and support. Last but not least he has Las Vegas where he is probably going to maximize the most money. Only thing we ask is that there is not a 24/7 feature on either of these two. They have already told their whole life story on Youtube and Twitter.
It seems like Goldenboy Promotions has some scrambling to do. Why not make them fight and keep the money in house like Toprank does. Both fighters are coming off losses and this would be a great win for either of them and put them right back into a Title Shot. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Come on Oscar you can do it.

Good article Shawn! In my eyes GBP are just as bad as Arum with all this in-house fight b*******! I would like to see Ortiz-Khan thou, hopefully Ortiz slaps the f*** out of Khan. I watched Khan's full career and he's not all he's cracked up to be. I think Oscar is just trying to break into the Arab market, how else do you explain him coming out with "next p4p king" rubbish? Khan will never be top 5 p4p nevermind the #1. Can't slip punches, can't defend himself without running like a b**** and can't fight on the inside without his grab, hold and push tactics. Does that sound like a p4p fighter? No i didn't think so. Khan you have had 2 losses, and more to come if you fight elite fighters, please learn how to lose with dignity. Stop acting like a b**** and stop blaming everyone else for your short-comings, blame Freddie he's the one that's supposed to teach you how to defend yourself!
