CAGUAS, PUERTO RICO - Focused on acquiring top physical condition, JUAN MANUEL "JUANMA" LOPEZ stopped the scale now 130 ½ pounds during the last pre-weigh bout en route to Saturday, June 15, against featherweight champion of the Organization Boxing World (OMB), MIGUEL ANGEL "MIKEY" GARCIA , to be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas at a presentation of TOP RANK , and will be seen across the U.S. Telecadena HBO.

Lopez (33-2, 30 KOs) was supposed to mark afternoon no more than 132.3 pounds, which is 5% above the plume limit, as set by the Professional Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico (CBPPR), on the activity carried out in the Gym Jose "Cheo" Aponte de Caguas.

"This was the weight expected. I wanted to make 128, but the nutritionist recommended me being at 130, and there we did, "said Lopez, who would train after pre-weigh. "What we hope is being at 129 lbs when we leave (Monday) to work beyond the remainder of the weight."

At present, Juanma Lopez, who reigned at 122 and 126 pounds of OMB, is ranked fourth by the entity at 126 pounds. The southpaw is coming off a knockout victory in the second assault on Eugenio Mexican "Dinamita" Lopez on April 20, while the February 2 TKO beat the Brazilian Aldimar Silva Santos in the ninth round after nearly 11 months inactive.

"I feel very good, we're doing five meals a day and working. The only thing that bothers me is that they took the coffee, but at least yesterday (Thursday) I was given the opportunity to take a little, "Lopez said smiling. "We remain focused on having the best condition for this important fight."

His opponent next Saturday, Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26 KOs) won the WBO belt at 126 pounds when he defeated eighth-round technical decision to Aztec Orlando "Siri" Salido on January 19 in New York, after him down four times during the fight.

Juanma Lopez will travel with his team, led by his manager Orlando Piñero and coaches Alex Caraballo and Freddy Trinidad, Monday, JUNE 10 , to Dallas, Texas.
