You might be wondering why I posted those numbers in the Title. It's because that is the level of competition Carlos Molina has fought in his last 10 fights. That is the combined records of his opponents. 236 Wins and 31 Losses. Out of the last 10 fights he won all but 2. One of those fights was a majority draw against Erislandy Lara. The other loss was to James Kirkland and that was because the corner stepped in too early when Carlos Molina was dropped. So technically we really don't know how that fight was going to play out.
Ishe Smith is a veteran. He has been in the fight game for a long time. He has sparred some of the best fighters in the world. He has not always gotten his fair shake and he was robbed a few times. Nevertheless, he is fighting a guy that does not stop coming. He throws more punches and he doesn't seem to tire out. Carlos Molina is not a hard puncher at all, but he can take a hard punch. That is one thing Ishe Smith is missing to keep Carlos off of him. Ishe Smith has to box almost flawless Saturday night in order to get the win.
Carlos Molina knows that and he won't give Ishe Smith breathing room. He will try to fight him in a phone booth type style and if Ishe knows what's best for him, he better put that stick out and move all night long and have the stamina to do it for 12 rounds. This will be an interesting match up. May the best man win.
