Mayweather " Maidana was one round from finishing Amir Khan"

By Kevin Davis

Floyd Mayweather in an interview done right after his presser to officially announce his May 3th bout with Marcos Maidana, he told the reporter from the Boxing Channel, that "Maidana was one round away from stopping Amir Khan." That has been my take on that fight for years. It wasn't a victory for Khan more than it was a survival, for him. Not fighting Mayweather could be the best thing for Khan at this time. Maidana is a champion, Khan is not, needs to focus on becoming a better fighter than Mayweather opponent.
