Many people have worn titles, won championships, been in the Hall Of Fame, and not many were as great outside the ring. Life is sometimes harder to handle than a fight at times. Miguel Cotto has always seemed to have found a way to balance the scales, amidst the rumors of Miguel being stoic and violent behind closed doors. His family loves him very much and he wears his heart on his sleeves every time he steps into the ring.
Class, the one word used to describe Cotto the best, very professional. I remember when he was fighting Shane Mosley and they entered the room to bring a cake for Mosley, the cake had the two fighters on the cake. Someone from Cotto's camp took Mosley piece and laid him on his back as if to say he's been knocked out. Cotto embarrassed by this picks the piece up and apologize to Mosley's family for the disrespect, and that was never his idea to do such a thing.
This Saturday night Sergio Martinez clearly the number one fighter at middleweight and long reigning champion will challenge Cotto's fame, as he steps in to try and dethrone a legend. Many have slipped on their pride trying to complete such a feat, Martinez must find a way to handle the event around him, because it won't be easy.
