From the day he woke up that morning Nate Jones was in training mode as he is focused on taking out Marcos maidana September 13th, "We working on somethings in here brother that he ain't going to be ready for." said Jones "He think Floyd fight the same way all the time, okay, just wait Floyd's going to show him another gear, that he hasn't seen. Man he ain't looked this since about four years ago." Jones who has been with Floyd Mayweather since their amateur days, when they both fought on the 96 Olympic team where both won Bronze medals. Jones is a very underrated trainer, who does more than just take Mayweather's punches in the ring, he is eyes on the target, when scoping the opponents.
"I know what these fighters are going to do before they even do it, I see everything ya dig, most these young guys don't know or forget how to use their shoulders, move there feet properly, spin, everything." These are just some of the fine tools he bring into the ringside as he's outside telling Floyd what he sees from where he is. "He hears me, I know it, because he does what I ask him. if what I'm telling him don't make sense then I wouldn't be here. I know the game brother."
