Other promoters are not happy with Mayweather Promotions power at Showtime

Is the best pound for pound champion in the world also and promotional tyrant. Mayweather Promotions had their biggest year ever and now more than ever, they are in position to promote solo cards around the globe showcasing their fighters, and with the help of Showtime/CBS, they are willing and open to expand on the network, in 2014. Some promoters are not to thrilled about the sudden changes in 2013, other promoters, fighters lost dates because of this Mayweather move.

"I was very enthusiastic about Floyd Mayweather coming over to Showtime, even promoting his fighters. I thought finally we shall get the light we deserve but it seems that Showtime had another plan, move Mayweather in and move us little guys out." said Boxing Promoter who doesn't want to go on record. "ShoBox for years have been the staples of this network boxing persona, everyone speaks about 'hey did you watch ShoBox, last night.' We gave ESPN a huge scare because the're cards were getting weaker because those fighters wanted to be showcased on ShoBox. In 2013, we are promoting Mayweather fighter's throughout the year, and everything is about Mayweather, nothing like we discussed when this deal went over."

"This was by far the worst year for ShoBox and I'm sorry for the fans for witnessing the display of poor match-ups they witnessed, in replacement of the ones of years past. We want to give you guys spectacular cards, all the time, and they can still be made, if the powers at be smarten up, and realize, the long-term effect this will have on the network, if we don't fix this now."

For the record, starting off the new year. Undefeated Ukrainian lightweight prospect Ivan “The Terrible” Redkach (15-0, 13 KOs) will continue to follow his American dream on January 17, in Memphis as he makes his U.S. network debut in the 10-round main event against Canadian Tony “The Lightning” Luis (17-1-1, 7 KOs) on ShoBox: The New Generation. Not one of these fighters have anything to do with Mayweather Promotions. Hope this settles any disputes, from the past year and we can leave all the drama in the ring.
