Adrien "The Problem" Broner (26-0, 22 kos) will face Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi (32-4, 10 kos) on June 22, 2013.The fight will be held at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight will be aired on HBO. Golden Boy promotions has put fights at the Barclays Center since last year (2012) as well as this year. Malignaggi's WBA welterweight title will be up for grabs. Paulie's last lost was back in May 15, 2010 against Amir Khan. Since his lost against Khan, Malignaggi has won five straight fight in a row. On April 29, 2012 Malignaggi fought Senchenko for his WBA title. Paulie in won by a TKO in the 9th round to become the WBA welterweight champion. Since winning the title Malignaggi defended it against Cano and won a split decision back on October 20, 2012. As for Broner he had victories against Ponce Deleon who a lot of people thought that Broner lost that fight, won the WBO Super featherweight belt against Rodriguez and successfully defended the belt against Perez. Unfortunately, Broner would lose the title going overboard during the weigh in against Escobedo. Luckly Broner won by a TKO in round five but could not keep the title. After that bout, Broner would move up to lightweight to face Antonio DeMarco for DeMarco's WBC title on November 17, 2012. On that fight Broner dominated and won a TKO in the eighth round to become the WBC lightweight champion. From there, Broner won two titles in two different weight divisions. After winning the belt Broner fought Rees and won a fifth round TKO.
Now, Broner will move up to 147 to fight Paulie Malignaggi for the WBA title. Broner will skip Jr. welterweight since everyone in that division is busy. I would not mind if Broner would move to Jr. welterweight because in that division, you got Danny Garcia, Zab Judah and etc.
