Chicago's very own Semajay Thomas returns back to the ring Monday April 14th at the UIC Pavilion, promoted by Golden Boy Promotions. Thomas is headed into his third pro fight back in his hometown, where he wants to be the first Chicago born fighter to bring a world title to the city. Blessed with amazing boxing skills and power, Thomas who's amateur career was mentored by former 1996 heavyweight bronze medal winner Nate Jones, is now being trained by future hall of fame trainer Ronnie Shields, bout have different styles but Thomas have adjusted to bout styles and is comfortable working with either.
Many boxing experts are saying Thomas could rise to a title shot in less than a year, since signing with Al Haymon.
