"Another Tough Battle Ahead"

By Val Soliman
Simpiwe "V12" Vetyeka (26W–2L with 16KOs), the current WBA Undisputed Featherweight Champion, won't be a simple fight for Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire. The South African native had KO victories over Indonesia's top featherweight dogs - Daud Yordan (TKO12) and formerly undefeated champ Chris John (TKO6).

WBA/IBO Featherweight Champion

Great footwork, conterpunching, combinations, speed and decent power - Nonito will need his full arsenal to beat this fighter. Vetyeka is no doubt, entering this fight with the momentum on his side. Casual fans, may not have thougth of this title bout as a toss-up fight. Vetyeka's name is not as popular as Rigondeaux but it will be once he beats Donaire.

A very slight edge in terms of power and speed goes to Nonito's side, but boxing skill is something that Vetyeka can match Nonito very well... Simpiwe is an underdog only by his name.

Nonito's father and trainer Donaire Sr will have a tough duty ahead in ensuring his son's victory on Saturday. He promise to bring back Nonito's vintage boxing skills. Nonito parted ways with his former trainer Robert Garcia after the Darchinyan rematch victory.

This will surely be a tough fight for both fighters. Both can box and brawl/ There's no way Donaire should underestimate this type of opponent. If Donaire wins, he is surely back in business... a rematch with Rigondeaux in the Featherweight Division will emerge. Donaire-Rigondeaux Rivalry is just beginning.
