Golden Boy Promotions will visit Las Vegas to promote its debut event at the city's most dynamic luxury resort, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The world-class professional boxing event will take place on Saturday, February 2, with a triple-header featuring rising stars competing in their first bouts of 2013. Headlining the card in a 10-round welterweight bout will be unbeaten power puncher Frankie "Pitbull" Gomez (14-0, 11KOs) against his stiffest test yet in Houston's Lanard Lane (13-2, 8KOs).

Frankie Gomez is a highly touted prospect looking for the right fight to take him to stardom. Loved for his crowd pleasing, aggressive style he has the makings for an all action fighter made for television. Gomez has garnered lots of attention by impressively dispatching nondescript opposition so far in his young career. Blessed with fast hands and punching power, he's had a tough time fighting opponents that will give him quality rounds necessary for the growth of a young prospect. In his fight with Lanard Lane he hopes to not only win but to impress the fans in attendance, as well as the televised audience as the fight will broadcast on Fox Sports Network. Lane is classy boxer puncher with all of the intangibles to make this night a tough outing for the rising East Los Angeles prospect. Lane hasn't had the benefit of fighting soft opposition in his young career thus far. He's been in placed in positions where he's had to face young, hungry undefeated prospects instead of wily old journeymen looking for a check on their way out of the sport of boxing. This fight will be the first 10-round fight of both of the young fighters' careers. Gomez vs Lane is a solid match-up on paper that will silence the Gomez detractors who claim he hasn't been properly tested. And it will also give Lane supporters another opportunity to voice their opinion as to why Lane is a championship caliber fighter in need to the right opportunity to shine. May the best man win.

This hard-hitting night of action is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Mayweather Promotions and sponsored by Corona.
