Fighters spend the majority of the time mentally preparing themselves for the punishment of the sport. Others spend more time on social media and cameras talking a good game, so most of the hardworking fighters who don't talk that much go by unnoticed. Great fighters like Rafael Marquez who's career was almost vacant until he faced off against Iszrael Vazquez in three classic fights, with the fourth one being a dud. Now don't get me wrong, real boxing fans knew of this warrior, but is the shadow of the great Juan Manuel Marquez has got to be hard to live down. Even today many boxing fans say to me, "I didn't know Marquez had a brother that fought". This from Marquez fans, so you tell me how hard was that, to go through.

I'm not saying he's the first they are many other fighters that won world titles and big matches that went almost off the radar. Paulie Ayala, "Magic man" Marlon Starling, Ivan Calderon, Donald Curry, Stevie johnston, Frank Liles, Virgil Hill and many more fighters, I can't name them all but I just tried to give you of an example of great fighters, that the world seemingly had forgotten, feel free to share in the comment section some fighters that may have meant something to you, that the world just glanced by on, you know, those quiet storm fighters.
