Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" Wilder destroyed Siarhei Liakhovich and Audley Harrison in just one round. His professional boxing career holds the perfect record of 29 fights, 29 victories, 29 knockouts and he was able to knock all of his opponents out within four rounds, 17 of 29 KO's were 1st round knockouts. This 27 year old American heavyweight prospect who stands at 6'7" is currently signed with Golden Boy Promotions.
No mercy, no wasting time. Left jab, killer right hand and boom!... the enemy is down...
Wilder won the WBC Continental Americas Heavyweight Championship after scoring a 3rd round KO against Kelvin Price back in December 2012. But he never fought for a world title yet. He has yet to face tougher opponents like Tyson Fury, David Haye and the Klitschko brothers. Boxing's heavyweight legend Mike "Iron" Tyson was 28–0 when he fought the defending champion Trevor Berbick back in 1986, he knocked Berbick out in two rounds and won the WBC Heavyweight belt(Tyson's first world title fight). It's been a long time since we had an exciting knockout artist like Mike Tyson in the heavyweight division. Some fans are saying that the once loaded and hottest division in boxing now remains as a silent one.
Klitschko: "What’s the matter, USA, don’t you have any big guys who can fight?"
Vladimir Klitschko and his older brother Vitali dominated the heavyweight division for almost a decade now. Since the Lennox Lewis fight, no other challenger was able to pose a huge threat to the Klitschko brothers. None of their opponents were able beat their craft in the ring. Unfortunately, we can't take away the fact that these two heavyweight kingpins are not getting younger to wait for their greatest rivals.
Can Wilder bring the excitement back to the heavyweight division? Can he beat the Klitschko brothers? Is it time for Deontay Wilder to Shine? We will soon find out...
