Before I get started on this article, I want everyone to know this is just "my" personal observation. Floyd Mayweather and Saul Alvarez had to do their 7 day pre-fight weigh in and was it just me or did Canelo looked drained already? Take a look at the picture above and it seems like he is dry. His face is very thin and I don't see anywhere he could lose 5 more pounds except not eating for the next 6 days and urinate as much as possible. Canelo is at 157.4 and has only 5.4 lbs left to go but when you are 7 days out and look dry, it's not a good sign.
Floyd Mayweather on the other hand has shocked me also. He weighed in at 152.2 lbs. I don't recall him getting up that high before. Atleast not while he is close to fight time and working out non-stop. Nevertheless Mayweather is a true welterweight and can be at 149 lbs come weigh in and not be drained. He is healthy and looks good.
Also it was interesting to see Canelo's team respond to Leonard Ellerbe's weigh issue comment. Canelo says that Mayweather's camp is lying. I don't know .. I wasn't there but I do know that Canelo agreed to it. Wouldn't you for $10 Million dollars and a shot at the best Pound 4 Pound fighter in the world?
