Who will be the next Floyd Mayweather in the boxing future?

By Kevin Davis

In all the years, before Floyd 'Money' Mayweather's time, the question was always asked, will we ever see a fighter greater than Ray Robinson, Muhammed Ali, Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson and now we here that talk about Mayweather. Many of the younger brasher fighters are coming up in the Mayweather era, in which he is king, and holds court atleast twice a year, showing off his massive riches gained from the sport, open the eyes wide for the next young Mayweather to step up and seize the moment. Who is the biggest question.

Many of the today's young talent are all striving to become the one, Adrien Brroner was being held as the new Mayweather, until his recent defeat at the hands of Marcos Maidana, changed most fans minds about him. Boxing is not like yesteryear, attention spans of today's youth is at a all-time low. Social Media and vast information intake, shifts our minds to subject to subject in minutes. Meaning that if a star fighter loses, the attention shifts yo another hot for the moment fighter. Anyone can get to the top, but how long you stay there dictates the best from the good fighters.
