Why Timothy Bradley Should be #3 Pound 4 Pound Behind Floyd Mayweather and Andre Ward

By Shawn Craddick

I've been going over this in my head for the last 2-3 months now. I have to give the #3 Pound for Pound to Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley. In order for me to do this, I need to look at his past fights. If we be honest, Timothy Bradley has the heart of a Lion. He does not stop coming, even if he get's knocked down. He has been in wars and when you count him out, he always finds a way to win. Let's take a look down memory lane.

2008 - Bradley defeats at the time Junior Witter whose record was 36-1. He fought him over in the UK at Nottingham. Most fighters won't travel to do that.

2009 - Bradley defeats Kendall Holt whose record was 25-2. We know how dangerous Kendall was at the time. That punch that put Bradley down was devastating. Bradley got back up and won that fight.

2009 - Bradley had a No Contest against Nate Campbell because of the clash of heads and Nate was unable to continue. Up until the stoppage Bradley was beating him every round.

2009 - Bradley defeats Lamont Peterson whose record was 27-0 at the time. Bradley dropped the tough Peterson in the 3rd and gave him his first lost. Peterson later went on to win a World Title.

2010 - Bradley defeats Luis Carlos Abregu whose record at the time was 29-0. Everyone knew that Abregu can crack. It was Bradley however that took the fight to him and had Abregu wobbled. Bradley gave him his first defeat.

2011 - Bradley defeats Devon Alexander whose record at the time was 21-0. Bradley was up on the scorecards until the time of stoppage because of a clash of heads and Alexander was not able to continue. Bradley gave Devon his first loss too.

2012 - Bradley did the impossible by defeating at the time, the unstoppable Manny Pacquiao who was ripping through everyone. Although it was a controversy, the judges thought Bradley did enough to win by Split Decision.

2013 - Bradley went to WAR and Defeated Hard Punching Ruslan Provodnikov. Bradley made it a war and almost got stopped at the end when Ruslan dropped him at the end of the 12th round. Bradley with the heart of a Lion got back to his feet and the bell rang. Bradley once again did enough to win the fight.

2013 - Bradley defeated the Legend Juan Manuel Marquez. Nobody gave Bradley a shot at winning after Marquez was coming off the KO of Manny Pacquiao. They thought that Marquez could catch Bradley with the same punch. It was Bradley that took the fight to Marquez an defeated him by Split Decision.

Just take a look at the tough opponents he faced who were Champions or former champions. Timothy Bradley has been a champion now for 5 Years straight and he could possible be on the road to 6 Years if he stays undefeated for 2014. Hands down Timothy Bradley should be #3 P4P right behind Floyd Mayweather and Andre Ward. Please leave your comments below.
