Like it or not, boxing needs him, as Scarface would say 'You need someone to point to, and say that's the bad guy.' Even though Adrien Broner isn't that bad guy in real life, the public loves the persona. It's crazy how fans brains work. They will pay through the nose and follow on all social media sites of a guy they so-called hate. This is in everything we buy, eat, watch, it's all marketing. You as the consumer, pay more attention to things you don't like, more than the things you like.

They all know this, that's why you see Floyd and Adrien putting bills in you're face, buying cars and taking trips and partying with models, because you envy their live so much, you hate it because you can't do it. That's why you care so much, and so does the boxing world. Everyone in the boxing world are saying how Broner isn't a superstar boxer now after his loss, but his rating has climbed higher as he was the top trending topic in social media, longer than any of his victories. People who didn't even see the fight were commenting on the fight, all they could say was 'the guy that thinks he's Mayweather lost last night, you got to see it.' Guess what they did see it..over and over again. With Mayweather leaving the ring in two years, yes boxing does need fighters like Broner, who can carry the sport, from a marketing perspective.
